Corporate Advisory

Environmental Law Building responsibly, defended rigorously.

Overview

Statutory clearances, pollution control consents, NGT litigation

Discuss your matter

Environmental regulation now shapes whether, where and how projects proceed. We advise on clearances and consents from the outset, and represent clients when approvals, penalties or compliance are contested.

Our work spans the National Green Tribunal, constitutional courts and the commercial disputes that environmental conditions increasingly create.

How we approach this work

01

Research-driven.

We study the notification, the project's site conditions and the regulator's recent practice before the application is filed.

02

Client-centric.

We translate environmental conditions into operational steps your sites can follow.

03

Result-oriented.

Clearances granted, consents kept current and enforcement action resolved before it stops the project.

Questions & answers

What clients ask us.

What is the difference between Consent to Establish and Consent to Operate?

Consent to Establish is required from the State Pollution Control Board before construction begins; Consent to Operate is required before production starts and must be renewed periodically.

Can an NGT order be appealed?

Yes. Under Section 22 of the National Green Tribunal Act, 2010, an appeal lies to the Supreme Court within 90 days of the order.
